Description |
A free text field with a 20 character limit, in which you may enter any type of descriptive information you want. This field auto-populates with the opportunity type code and the prospect’s last name, but can be changed or deleted if desired.

Stage | The stage of development within the opportunity pipeline, added from a user-defined list of stage code values. |
Probability |
The probability that the opportunity will reach fruition and be acquired by your organization, which can be manually entered or auto-updated based on what stage in which the opportunity lies. When the stage of an opportunity is updated, a window will appear, where you can choose whether or not to update the probability as well.

Priority | The level of priority given to an opportunity, indicating the amount of effort expected Toward pursuing the opportunity, (i.e., “High”, “Normal”, etc.), and added from a user-defined drop-down list of values. |
Department |
The department primarily responsible for managing the opportunity, added from a user-defined list of values. |
Projected Date | The date on which the opportunity is projected to close. |
Projected Amount | The monetary amount of which the opportunity is expected to generate. |
Source | The origin of the opportunity, such as a campaign, a donor list, or a personal contact, added from a user-defined list of values. |
Fund | The fund for which the opportunity will be applied, added from a user-defined list of fund code values. |
Appeal | The appeal for which the opportunity will be applied, added from a user-defined list of appeal code values. |
Outcome | The end result of an opportunity, such as “Accepted”, “Unknown”, “Funded”, etc. added from a user-defined list of values. |
Funding Year | The calendar year when the opportunity will be applied to listed fund. |
Unit | The Unit for which the opportunity will be applied to, added by performing a prospect lookup for a unit prospect record. |
Remark | A free text field with a limit of 4000 characters, to be used as a note on the record. |
Assigned to Staff Section |

Primary Solicitor | The main solicitor assigned to work the opportunity, added form a user-defined list of solicitor code values. |
Other Solicitors | Any additional solicitors assigned to work the opportunity, added from a user-defined list of values.
In addition to the solicitor code, Roles can be assigned to every other solicitor from a user-defined list of solicitor code values.

Designations Section |
|
When a gift associated with an opportunity record is slated to be spread across multiple funds or appeals, use Designations to indicate how the gift should be divided. Use Edit All mode to make changes to Designations.

Appeal or Fund | The fund or appeal to which the designated portion of the gift will be applied. |
Amount | The dollar value or percentage of the gift that will be applied to the designated fund or appeal. |
Start and End | Indicates a time span for when the portion of the gift intended for this designation can be expected. |
Next Actions Section |
|
Status | Indicates the status of the action, such as “Pending” or “Postponed”, added from a user-defined list of values. |
Action | Displays the action to be taken, such as “Phone Call” or “On Site Tour”, added from a user-defined list of action code values. |
Take Action On | Indicates the date the action is scheduled to occur. |
Remark | Displays the Remark field from the action record, which is a note that allows for up to 4000 characters of free text entry. |
Action Owner | Indicates the primary solicitor responsible for completing the action, added from a user-defined list of solicitor code values. |
The Next Actions section allows for direct access to each action transaction displayed. Clicking on a row returns the Action VAE screen for that transaction. The five most recent open actions are displayed. Utilize the View More link to review all action transactions associated with the opportunity record. Create a new action transaction using the Create New Action link.

Assigned to Volunteers Section |
|
Volunteers | Displays the prospect records of any volunteer(s) assigned to support the development of the opportunity. |
Contact(s) Section |
|
Primary Contactee | Displays the prospect record of the primary contact person and, optionally, an assigned role to clarify the prospects relationship to the prospect. |
Other Contactee | Displays the prospect record of any additional party and, optionally, an assigned role to clarify the prospects relationship to the prospect. |
Memos Section |
|
Memo | Displays a list of memos specifically associated with the opportunity record, indicating the date the memo was created, the person who created it, and the section for which the memo applies. A Go to record link provides direct access to the Memo VAE screen. |
The three most recent memos are displayed on the Opportunity VAE page, with a View More link providing access to older records. Memos displayed will show a maximum of 250 characters. Use the Expand / Collapse feature to view longer memos in their entirety, and hide them once you are done.

History SectionHistory displays all changes made to the stage of an opportunity record. Everytime progress or setbacks require the stage of the opportunity to be updated, a row is added to the History table, depicting those developments.

Timestamp | Indicates when the stage change was made. |
Added By | Indicates what solicitor made the stage change. |
