About dashboard administrationAs a ClearView administrator, you can assign pre-configured homepage dashboards to users on an individual basis. You can also share dashboards with users organization-wide, or using role-by-role criteria. Access to the Dashboards portion of administrative features is available through the Administration link on the user menu drop-down list.Create dashboards within application Settings, through Manage Dashboards using the Create New Dashboard link.
For homepages, choose individuals or groups of people to receive the homepage from an easy-to-maneuver list of all available users. Users can be added or removed from the list as their homepage needs change, as well as when they join your organization in general. For assigned dashboards, choose what roles can access the dashboard, or assign it to your entire organization. As needed, add and remove roles and users from the list of those with whom the dashboard is assigned.
If a user is added to a role or to the organization after a dashboard is assigned, that user is automatically provided access to any dashboards previously assigned to their role and/or the entire organization.
Assigned dashboards cannot be edited by those users receiving the assignment. They have the ability to make a copy of the the dashboard, and alter it as desired, but the original configuration stays intact, unless adapted by the administrator that created the dashboard. Changes made by the administrator are immediately reflected on the assigned user’s dashboards after their next refresh.
The ability for users to copy dashboards and change homepages is determined by individual user privileges. If you prefer that users not be able to change their homepage as set by your organization, adjust user privileges accordingly.
Assigned dashboards are available to users from their Dashboards navigation menu drop-down list, as well as through their Manage Dashboards list within application Settings. Set a homepage dashboard for individual users, or varying group configurations of users, not limited by role. Select a single user, or groups of users from the same or different roles to access custom homepage dashboards - organized in whatever way best suits your objectives and their needs.
Any dashboards assigned as home pages to users can be, but does not have to be the same as your own personal home page.
In order to select a dashboard as a homepage for a user or group of users, it must first be shared with users through the Assign Dashboards feature.
If shared dashboards are no longer useful or applicable to assigned users, easily remove access to any dashboards of this nature. Deleting a shared dashboard also makes it unavailable at that point to any users with whom it was shared.
Configure dashboards that are helpful to users in varying roles, or across your organization. Arrange panels in a way that guides users through a series of actions, supporting their task effectiveness, productivity and daily routines. |
