Opportunities

oppty-mainUse Opportunities to monitor all of your Moves Management activity in one convenient location. Track your cultivation efforts, like meetings and phone calls, by logging Actions linked to your opportunities.  As you progress towards securing major contributions, update your opportunities regularly.  Review your cultivation, solicitation and stewarding work to develop an effective strategy for pursuing future substantial acquisitions.

Viewing an Opportunity record

1. Click on Opportunities from the Navigation menu.

  • The Opportunity Management screen displays.

From the Opportunity Management screen, you'll be able to Retrieve Prospect to Create Opportunity, Work and Manage Opportunties and/or produce Comprehensive Opportunity Reporting.

2. Click on Work and Manage Opportunities

The Opportunities data table defaults to displaying All Open Opportunites.  Click the Filter More button to narrow the list of Opportunities even further.

The Opportunities data table can be sorted by any column.  Click on a column to sort Opportunities by that column in ascending order.  Click on the same column a second time to sort Opportunities by that column in descending order.

 3. Filter the list of Opportunities by changing the type of Opportunities to view and/or by entering values in the available filter fields. Click Apply once you've entered all of the desired filter values.

4. Move your cursor to the row containing the Opportunity that you've like to view.  Click anywhere in the row that isn't a link to open and view the Opportunity.

Moving your cursor to a row will cause it to be highlighted in green for ease of distinction.

Clicking on a linked value within the selected row will cause you to navigate to the linked destination rather than to the Opportunity record itself.

 You can also view an Opportunity record directly from the relevant prospect's Prospect Summary by selecting Opportunities from the Go To menu on the left side of the screen.

Editing an Opportunity record

1. Click on Opportunities from the Navigation menu.

5. Click Edit All to edit any field in the Opportunity record.

Individual fields can be in-line edited by moving your cursor to the desired field and clicking on the Edit Pencil Icon to the right of the field.  Click Save to commit your single field update.

6. Click Save - either at the beginning or end of the record - to commit your Opportunity updates.

5. Click on the desired information category from the Jump To or Go To menu sections on the left side of the screen.
